Committees

Advisory committees will provide valuable insights to the Alternatives Analysis study process, and are useful forums for sharing study information with stakeholders. Three committees that will play key roles in the overall stakeholder involvement process are identified below:

Advise, Review and Communicate Committee (ARCC)
The ARCC is comprised of staff representing Hennepin County and the cities of Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, New Hope, Osseo, and Robbinsdale. Metro Transit, Maple Grove Transit, Metropolitan Council, and Minnesota Department of Transportation staffs also serve on the committee.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The CAC is comprised of citizen representatives from Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, Osseo, and Robbinsdale along with representatives from area businesses and institutions along the transitway.

Policy Advisory Committee (PAC)
The policy advisory committee includes elected officials at state, county and local levels of government as well as representatives of government agency, business and institutional stakeholders along the Bottineau Corridor.

A fourth committee type is being utilized as follows:

Focused Issue Groups (FIG)
Ad hoc focused issue groups have been formed to address specific technical methodologies and to address localized (i.e.; geographically focused) issues that interest a more focused audience than organizations represented on the ARCC.
